In the spirit of mutual learning and sharing, and to give the students a taste of what the real world applications look like, Prof. Galit Shmueli and Rajib Saha who instruct the course, together with CrowdANALYTIX bring together the ISB student and alumni community and the CrowdANALYTIX community for some competitions. This ideation contest is the first in a total of 4 contests. The ideation problem is around survey responses by customers on usage of mobile phone in India. Results of the ideation contest are used to design 3 data mining competitions that will follow. The contests are based on a data set with survey responses from several thousands of mobile users in India. This survey was conducted by students in Prof. Sudhir Voleti's 2011 Marketing Research course at ISB.
